Mark Harding, Tribal Relations Leader

Mark is the cofounder of WampWorx and has more than 25 years of experience working with tribal nations, and state, county, and local municipalities. For more than a decade he has served in a variety of tribal leadership roles for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, His technical expertise includes federal audits, energy and sustainability management, proposal development, negotiating with government agencies, working with tribal cultural issues and coordination with stakeholders.He brings extensive experience assisting tribal nations in monetizing their commercial forest areas through the California AirResource Board’s cap & trade program.

Hedi Bogda, JD, Legal Advisor

University of North Dakota School of Law

Ms. Bogda, an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, focuses her legal practice on federal Indian law and tribal law. Hedi has been working almost exclusively for federal, state, and tribal governments across the country for over 25 years.  Her extensive multijurisdictional experience includes representation of corporate and governmental entities, both tribal and nontribal, in matters involving federal regulatory law; tribal sovereignty; energy law; environmental law; water and natural resource law; land use planning; labor relations; employment law; commercial, business, and economic development matters; taxation; land into trust issues; and cultural resource preservation issues.

Edward Saltzberg, Ph.D., Tribal Economic Development Leader

Ph.D. Environmental Science/Resource Economics

Dr. Saltzberg leads SRP’s economic development services for tribal nations. He brings deep experience in natural resources, economic analysis, and climate resilience to support tribes’ employment, business ownership, and cultural objectives.  Through 35 years of environmental and energy consulting for government and commercial clients, Dr. Saltzberg has a deep understanding of climate change's multimedia and social effects and other disruptions to natural systems. He has managed over $1 billion in environmental and energy contracts for commercial and government clients. In addition to economic project development, he is the Director of Professional Education in energy resilience for George Washington University, covering energy finance, energy markets, intelligent energy systems, and electrification of the built environment.  He is also a Board member and past Chairman of the Falls Church, Virginia Economic Development Authority, helping to attract over $1 billion of private investment in commercial and mixed-use redevelopment.

Mehdi Ganji, PhD., Smart Reservation Adviser

PhD, Power Systems Engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology

Mehdi is a microgrid technology leader and currently chairs several IEEE microgrid committees including the IEEE Smart City R&D Committee. He has 20 years of experience conducting energy projects including electric power simulation and analysis, power market simulation and forecasting, renewable energy resources integration, and microgrid planning, operation, and control. He has led microgrid projects for the California Energy Commission, Mass Clean Energy Center, New York State Energy Research and Development Agency and has been instrumental in the design, and development of the $60 million DOE-funded Perfect Power Microgrid at the Illinois Institute of Technology and works with ComEd to expand the microgrid into the surrounding community of Bronzeville.

Mahsa is an expert in sustainability, high-performance, intelligent buildings, and the application of technology in improving the sustainability of the built environment.Over the last 15 years, she has led technology optimize design and construction projects, leverage building product performance data during decision making, and the design and operation of smart energy communities.She has extensive experience conducting energy projects using a variety of digital methods such as building information modeling (BIM), building performance simulation, parametric models, cloud computing, multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO), and artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve building performance and community energy objectives.
