Osage Minerals Council Aggregates Feasibility Study

Through a grant from the Department of Energy and Minerals Development of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and under Contract to the Osage Minerals Council, SRP is conducting a study of the feasibility of OMC to own and operate aggregate mines in Osage County.  The study includes analyzing the location and quality of the assets in the county and the economic viability of mine ownership and operation as part of the Tribe’s natural resource sovereignty ambitions. Options under consideration include acquiring an existing mining company, starting a new company or forgoing ownership, and continuing to collect royalties.
